Reclip

Give it a long video. Get back ready-to-post vertical clips with a hook line and word-by-word captions.

What It Does

Let your AI agent do the clipping.

Reclip is built to be run by your AI agent, not by you. Connect it once, then say “make clips from this video.” Your agent transcribes the video on your computer, reads it, picks the strongest self-contained moments, writes the hook lines, and Reclip renders each one as a Shorts cut (about 30–58 seconds, with hook, captions and end card) and a tight 15–24 second TikTok cut. You never open an editor.

It's one-time, not a subscription. In agent mode your agent does the thinking, so there is no extra AI key to buy: a normal Claude or ChatGPT-style subscription is enough, as long as your agent can use MCP tools. (If you'd rather run it yourself from the command line, you can add your own OpenAI, Anthropic or DeepSeek key; it stays on your computer.)

Built and run by Aura. I use my own tools on my own work, and I tell you plainly what they can and can't do.

What you need

  • •Windows PC (Mac/Linux scripts included)
  • •Python 3.10+ and ffmpeg (free; the guide shows how)
  • •An AI agent that can use MCP tools (for example Claude Desktop or Claude Code). No separate API key needed in agent mode
US$39 one-time

What's included

  • •The Reclip program (private download after purchase)
  • •Step-by-step setup guide
  • •Works on a normal laptop — no graphics card needed

Honest limits (version 1.1)

  • •Centre crop only: it doesn't follow faces yet, so a speaker standing off-centre can be cut off. Best on single-speaker, centred video.
  • •Your agent chooses moments from the transcript, not the picture. Watch every clip before you post.
  • •English speech by default.
  • •Agent mode needs an agent that supports MCP tools; a plain chat window without tools can't drive it.
  • •Windows tested on the install scripts only so far; Mac/Linux scripts are included but less tested.
